SNAP EDGES
The EMP lightbox frame profile incorporates spring-loaded snap-open edges. This feature allows you to change the poster artwork with no tools quickly and easily.
LIGHTWEIGHT
EMP’s lightbox design is much lighter in weight than other frames of its size. The total weight of a frame with a poster installed is less than 5kgs.
EASY TO HANG
EMP’s lightboxes attach just like any picture frame. Move the included “D rings” to the desired position with the fully adjustable fixtures and tighten in place.
PERFECTLY EVEN LIGHT
EMP’s lightboxes use thin sheets of optically clear material coupled to an LED illumination source to evenly spread light across the full surface. This method eliminates dark areas, spots and striping sometimes seen in other designs.
SNAP EDGES
The EMP lightbox frame profile incorporates spring-loaded snap-open edges. This feature allows you to change the poster artwork with no tools quickly and easily. The poster is held tight in place with a protective front Perspex sheet between the paper and the aluminium snap-open edge of the frame. The snap edges do not come into contact with the paper, only the fingerprint-resistant Perspex. The clever design means no adhesives are needed to keep the poster in place.
EASY TO HANG
EMP’s lightboxes attach just like any picture frame. Move the included “D rings” to the desired position with the fully adjustable fixtures and tighten in place. Attach picture wire between these points or affix directly to your wall using the Rawlplugs and screws supplied in the box. The light-weight 5kg design means these lightboxes can even be mounted to walls using adhesive Velcro strips (with care). Every lightbox can be hung portrait or landscape, or can even be suspended from the ceiling.
HIGH BRIGHTNESS, LOW POWER
EMP’s SMD-type LEDs are mounted on an aluminium substrate and enveloped in an epoxy resin. SMD LED 2835 chips use newer technology and are typically much more efficient than older-style LEDs. This means that for equivalent power, EMP’s lightboxes are much brighter. The spectrum of light, cool white 6000–6500k, emitted by these lightboxes cannot damage posters. These LEDs do not emit UV or IR in the damaging part of the light spectrum and are housed in a aluminium channel within the frame’s profile. These LEDs have a fantastic long life span of up to 50,000 hours—around 5 years constant use, or 10 years normal usage.
PERFECTLY EVEN LIGHT
EMP’s lightboxes use thin sheets of optically clear material coupled to an LED illumination source to evenly spread light across the full surface. This method eliminates dark areas, spots and striping sometimes seen in other designs. A lightbox uses the mechanisms of reflection and diffusion—it transports light from one location to another, by using total internal reflection of light at the boundary to the surrounding medium. Light is selectively extracted from the illumination panel through printed, raised, or embossed features. This technology is highly adaptable, requiring no tooling or special handling.
WIRELESS CONTROL
